Issuer Rules

Rules: To be eligible for the sign-up bonus on the Citibank '520' card, applicants must not have received a bonus for the same card family within the last 24 months. This rule applies even if the card product name has changed. Additionally, Citibank typically limits new applications to no more than one card every 8 days and no more than two cards every 65 days across all Citibank products. Approval is subject to creditworthiness and Citibank's internal lending policies, including total credit exposure.

Maximum Cards Per Issuer: 7

Minimum Spend Interval: 3 months

Shutdown Risk Triggers: Manufactured spending (e.g., excessive gift card purchases, payment of rent/mortgage via third-party services with credit cards, repeated large purchases and returns), high cumulative credit limit across all Citibank cards, rapid succession of credit card applications (especially within Citibank's 8/65 rule), suspicious spending patterns inconsistent with typical consumer behavior, defaulting on other credit obligations, or excessive credit cycling.

User Analytics & Insights
User Ratings

Average Rating: 4.0 / 5.0

Top Positive Feedback:
High cash back rates on gas (4%), restaurants, and travel (3%), plus good rewards at Costco (2%). No annual fee (with Costco membership) and wide Visa acceptance are major advantages.

Top Negative Feedback:
Cash back is issued only once a year as a certificate, redeemable only at Costco for merchandise or cash, limiting flexibility. Requires an active Costco membership.
