Eligibility requires enrollment in a two- or four-year college, university, or vocational school, being 18 years or older, and demonstrating sufficient income (including scholarships, grants, or part-time work) to make payments. Applicants should have a Social Security Number or ITIN and a limited but responsible credit history. Bank of America enforces a '2/3/4 rule' for new applications: no more than 2 new BoA cards in 2 months, 3 in 12 months, and 4 in 24 months. Additionally, applicants are generally not eligible for the welcome bonus if they currently have or have had this specific card product within the last 24 months. A welcome bonus of typically $200 cash back is offered after spending $1,000 in the first 90 days.
